Dr Ngan has over 25 years of clinical experience and a longstanding commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care. He completed his specialist training in orthodontics at the University of Sydney, graduating with national honours including the ASO Medal for the most outstanding graduating orthodontist in the country, and the Foundation Award for academic research; he is also the recipient of the Medal for Excellence in Dentistry from the University of Otago. Dr Ngan is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists and a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Orthodontics).
He maintains a strong interest in innovation while respecting evidence-based clinical care. He has a preference for non-extraction treatment where appropriate,and is also one of the few clinicians in Australia to routinely use hidden Invisalign attachments on the backs of teeth for maximum discretion. He has more than 20 years of specialist experience using aligners
Outside of work, you will find Dr Ngan prioritising time with his wonderful wife and children, or teaching and training at his local dojo, where he holds a third dan black belt in karate.
